My Journey

The Back Story

Growing up in Fall City, a charming town nestled in the state of Washington, I attended Mount Si High School where I actively participated in the community. Playing soccer year-round and working as a lifeguard and swim instructor at Si View Pool kept me busy. My upbringing instilled in me a strong work ethic, which ultimately helped me secure a full scholarship to play football at the prestigious University of Washington.

As a child, I witnessed my father build our family home when he was just 22 years old. I saw first-hand the hard work and dedication he put in to complete the project, while also working full-time in Renton. This experience taught me the importance of perseverance and dedication, never giving up until the job is done.

I take pride in growing up in a close-knit community and hold deep gratitude for the values and lessons instilled in me by my upbringing.

FOOTBALL BACKGROUND

From a young age, I possessed a natural talent for kicking a ball. This talent led me to compete in high school kicking competitions, where I ranked among the top 5 in the nation. It was during this time that I forged lifelong friendships with several successful NFL kickers, including Jake Elliott, Zane Gonzalez, Wil Lutz, Daniel Carlson, and Harrison Butker.

My hard work and talent earned me a scholarship to the University of Washington, where I proudly took on the role of starting kicker. Unfortunately, my dreams were temporarily shattered when I was faced with the need for back surgery and the possibility that I may never kick again. However, through sheer determination and rigorous rehab, I was able to regain my strength and emerge as the most accurate kicker in UW history.

In my senior year, I played a pivotal role in leading the UW to victory in the PAC-12 Championship game and had the honor of playing in the College Football Semi-Finals against Alabama. This experience taught me the value of resilience and the importance of hard work in the face of adversity.
